West Ham XI vs Crystal Palace: Projected Lineup and Latest Team News
Hammers Seek First Competitive Victory with Julen Lopetegui

Julen Lopetegui remained tight-lipped regarding team news as West Ham United prepares for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Hammers are looking to bounce back after a 2-1 defeat at home to Aston Villa in their season opener, a match in which many of their summer signings started on the bench.
Ahead of the match, Lopetegui mentioned that his team had encountered a “little problem” during training but declined to provide further details about the nature of the issue.
He also provided an update on midfielder Edson Alvarez, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
While Lopetegui noted that Alvarez is making positive strides in his rehabilitation, he did not confirm whether Alvarez would be fit to travel to Selhurst Park.
“He has been out for a while, and he is progressing well, but let’s see,” Lopetegui stated regarding Alvarez’s potential return.
As of now, the exact composition of the squad remains uncertain.
West Ham’s predicted starting eleven includes Areola; Wan-Bissaka, Kilman, Todibo, Emerson; Soucek, Rodriguez; Kudus, Paqueta; Summerville, and Fulkrug, with Alvarez’s participation still in question.
The match is set to take place at 3pm BST on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Selhurst Park, with Rob Jones as the referee and Paul Tierney as the VAR.
