Oviedo are reportedly close to finalising a deal and are waiting for Jovic’s approval.
Meanwhile, an unnamed club from the United Arab Emirates has made a lucrative offer, which could influence his decision.
Should West Ham Take the Risk?
Despite being available for free, Jovic represents a gamble.
Since his breakout 2018/19 season at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he netted 17 league goals, he has failed to reach similar heights—never surpassing six league goals in a season since.
At 27, he still has time to turn things around, but West Ham can’t afford another costly misstep.
The club has already been burned by recent signings like Gianluca Scamacca, Niclas Fullkrug, and Nikola Vlasic.
If the Hammers are to push forward, they must invest wisely and pursue a proven goal scorer with consistency—something Jovic has struggled to demonstrate in recent years.
