John Stones has shared his emotions upon learning of Cole Palmer’s departure from Manchester City. Palmer, who progressed through the club’s youth ranks, was transferred to Chelsea in a deal exceeding £42 million during the previous summer transfer window.

As Palmer prepares to face his former club today when Mauricio Pochettino’s team visits the Etihad Stadium for their latest Premier League match, Stones, one of Palmer’s former teammates, has expressed his sentiments regarding the winger.

In a recent interview with the club, Stones conveyed his feelings about Palmer’s departure from City and his return to the Etihad for today’s game. He stated, “Cole has been impressive in the games that I have seen, and I am genuinely happy for him. I had a close relationship with Cole, and it was disheartening to see him leave us. However, everyone has their own path and journey in their career. The most important thing is his happiness, and if he is content, then that’s what matters.”
