The club’s focus has now shifted to the Europa League, as a win in that competition would not only break their long-standing trophy drought but also provide a route back into the Champions League.

However, Spurs’ Premier League campaign remains crucial for another reason. If their poor form continues, they risk breaking three unfortunate club records.

As per BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella, these are the records Tottenham are in danger of surpassing over their final five games:

1. If they lose two more matches, it will mark their highest number of defeats in a single Premier League season.

2. They must collect at least eight more points to avoid recording their lowest-ever points tally in the Premier League era.

3. The club has already suffered their most home losses in a 38-game season. Two additional defeats would surpass even their worst home record in a 44-game campaign.

It’s a grim outlook, and O’Hara’s remarks may carry weight — had it not been for the extensive injury list earlier in the season, Postecoglou’s tenure could well have ended months ago.
