West Ham Show Interest in Arsenal’s Zinchenko as Summer Rebuild Begins

West Ham United are among the clubs eyeing a move for Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, according to Pianeta Milan.

The Ukrainian international has fallen out of favour at the Emirates, and the Gunners are ready to part ways with him after a disappointing 2024/25 campaign.

Following a lacklustre season that saw them finish 14th in the Premier League, West Ham are preparing for a busy summer under new manager Graham Potter.

With Julen Lopetegui sacked midway through the season, the club is now looking to rebuild and reshape the squad under Potter’s guidance.

Zinchenko, 28, has emerged as a prime target. Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell the versatile defender for around £12.8 million.

His ability to play both at left-back and in central midfield makes him an attractive option.

Several clubs—including Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, and West Ham—have shown interest.

While Zinchenko is said to favour a move to Milan, the Serie A side is reluctant to meet his £150,000-per-week wage demands, leaving the door open for other suitors.

This gives West Ham an opportunity, especially with changes expected in their defensive ranks.

Emerson Palmieri is likely to depart, and Aaron Cresswell is set to leave once his contract expires, leaving a gap at left-back.

Zinchenko’s technical quality and midfield versatility make him a strong fit for Potter’s style. Having previously won four Premier League titles with Manchester City, his experience in England’s top flight is another asset.

In addition to defensive reinforcements, West Ham are also looking to bolster their attack. The club is reportedly exploring a loan move for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, while the futures of key players Mohamed Kudus and Lucas Paquetá remain uncertain.
