Mohammed Kudus is attracting strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur, and the Hammers have already rejected a £50m bid from their London rivals, according to David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano. However, the transfer saga appears far from over.
Kudus is reportedly open to a move to Spurs, putting West Ham in a difficult position.
Should Tottenham return with an improved offer, which seems likely, it could become increasingly difficult to hold onto the Ghana international.
Potter, aiming to build momentum after a slow start at the London Stadium, will not welcome the disruption.

According to The Sunday Mirror via West Ham Zone, the Hammers are now leading the chase to sign El Hadji Malick Diouf.
After submitting an initial offer, they have moved ahead of Crystal Palace, who have ended their interest in the Slavia Prague full-back.
Although West Ham’s opening bid of around £17m was rejected, they remain in a strong position and could meet Slavia Prague’s £22m valuation to secure Diouf’s services.
Dubbed a “powerful dribbler” by U23 scout Antonio Mango, Diouf’s ability to contribute in attack from left-back is a major asset.
His versatility, with experience at left-midfield and centre-back, would provide Potter with welcome tactical options.
With Aaron Cresswell now departed, signing Diouf would address a key void in the squad and signal the start of West Ham’s summer transfer activity.
