His outstanding 2021/22 campaign in the Championship, where he scored 43 goals in 44 games, helped Fulham to promotion.

He then followed that with 14 goals in the Premier League, earning a move to Riyadh, where he continued his goal-per-game form and helped Al-Hilal win the league title.

With the Club World Cup approaching, Al-Hilal are expected to bring in new signings and could be forced to offload players to comply with foreign player limits.

Names like Victor Osimhen and Cristiano Ronaldo have surprisingly been linked with moves to the Saudi club, increasing the likelihood that Mitrovic could be sold or loaned out.

West Ham are closely monitoring the situation. Mitrovic is reportedly available for around £40 million and is even willing to accept a pay cut to return to England.
