A £40 million-rated striker has been tipped as the “most likely” to join either West Ham United or Crystal Palace in 2025, despite links to other top Premier League clubs.
West Ham’s technical director, Tim Steidten, is reportedly considering this striker as a potential replacement for Danny Ings and Michail Antonio, whose contracts are set to expire next summer.

Fulham manager Julen Lopetegui was left frustrated as his team came close to securing their third win in four league games.
Fulham had taken the lead through Raul Jimenez’s goal just after the 20-minute mark, and Lopetegui’s frustration grew as West Ham struggled to match their opponent’s intensity for much of the game.
Playing at Craven Cottage, West Ham found it difficult to break down Fulham, and the home side felt they were denied a penalty after a collision between Max Kilman and Adama Traore.
However, West Ham fought back in the second half, applying more pressure on Fulham’s defense. Despite Fulham’s efforts, West Ham eventually found their breakthrough in the final moments of the game.
A 95th-minute cut-back from Jarrod Bowen fell to substitute Danny Ings, who clinically slotted the ball past Bernd Leno to secure a 1-1 draw.
Reflecting on the match, Lopetegui said, “The belief and effort were there, but it was a tough match today, and we could have done certain things better.”
He acknowledged Fulham’s strength at home but also expressed the need for his team to improve in several areas ahead of their next game. “The second goal in a match is often so important because it can either close or kill a game.
We had spells in the first half, but they were better, even though they didn’t have many clear-cut chances.
However, in the second half, we improved, and the changes we made balanced things out. We pushed forward, and thankfully, we got the goal we needed.”
Ings, whose contract with West Ham expires next summer, had been heavily linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.
However, on this occasion, it was the 32-year-old striker who saved West Ham from defeat in London.
Both Ings and Michail Antonio could leave the club in the next 12 months, leading to speculation about potential replacements.
Omar Marmoush, a striker from Eintracht Frankfurt, has emerged as a likely candidate to fill the void.
The Egyptian international, who is expected to cost around £40 million, has caught the attention of West Ham’s recruitment team, led by Steidten.
Marmoush, who scored 17 goals across all competitions for Frankfurt last season, has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, making him a prime target for English clubs.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, Marmoush is “most likely” to join either West Ham or Crystal Palace, with both clubs looking for reinforcements in attack.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s manager, Dino Toppmöller, previously praised the 25-year-old striker, describing him as a player with a “tireless” work ethic.
Despite interest from other Premier League giants like Arsenal and Liverpool, Marmoush’s potential move to West Ham or Crystal Palace appears to be more likely.
For now, it seems that West Ham’s focus is firmly on finding long-term replacements for their outgoing strikers, and Marmoush is a key target.
