Leicester City’s Agent Fee Spend Revealed Amid Growing Premier League Divide
FA Reveals Latest Agent Fee Figures: Chelsea, Man City, and Man United Top the List
Leicester City spent nearly £10m on agent fees this season, but that amount is modest compared to the Premier League’s top spenders.
City paid £9.8m to agents while signing 10 new players across the summer and winter windows, appointing two managers, and awarding fresh contracts to Jamie Vardy, Jannik Vestergaard, and Wilfred Ndidi.
The figure, published by the FA, is the fourth-lowest in the Premier League.
Ipswich spent the least at £6.3m, followed by Southampton (£8.9m) and Everton (£9.2m).
In stark contrast, Chelsea topped the list with £60.4m spent—over six times Leicester’s total.
Only Manchester City (£52.1m) and Manchester United (£33m) came close, while Aston Villa, Newcastle, Arsenal, and Liverpool all paid at least twice what City did.
Premier League clubs collectively spent £409.1m on agent fees this year, nearly identical to the previous year’s total of £409.6m.
Leicester’s spend of £9.8m is only slightly up from the £8.1m paid during their promotion campaign from the Championship.
This season has highlighted the widening financial gap between the top two divisions.
Championship clubs, in comparison, spent just £63.2m combined on agent fees—less than a sixth of the Premier League’s total.
