Winger with ‘great vision’ faces SPFL move ‘concern’ Rangers must evaluate.

The summer transfer window cannot come soon enough, regardless of whether Clement remains in charge. Meanwhile, one Rangers target has been urged to improve if he hopes to succeed in Europe.
Rangers-linked Relebohile Mofokeng Told to Bulk Up
Relebohile Mofokeng, a highly rated winger linked with both Rangers and Barcelona, made a name for himself in South Africa last season.
The 20-year-old is exceptionally fast and possesses a solid end product, but according to someone familiar with his game, he has a significant weakness.
Former Orlando Pirates manager Eric Tinkler, speaking on the Soccerbeat podcast, shared his insights:
“I think Mofokeng has shown a lot of maturity compared to other young players. He is very comfortable on the ball and unafraid to express himself, which is a great trait.
“However, there is still room for growth. His size is a concern, particularly if he wants to play in Europe. That’s an area of development he needs to work on.
“That said, he has immense potential as a winger. His creativity, willingness to take on defenders, and vision make him an exciting prospect.
He’s not selfish and looks to create opportunities for teammates. I’ve been very impressed with his progress.”
Does Size Matter in the SPFL?
Mofokeng wouldn’t be the first winger to arrive in Scotland and face concerns over his physicality.
Amad Diallo thrived after adapting to the SPFL’s physical demands, but Rabbi Matondo struggled to cope with its intensity.
Tinkler’s point about physical resilience is valid, but across the city, players like Nicolas Kühn, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Jota have all succeeded despite their smaller frames.
Like Mofokeng, they possess speed and the ability to trouble defences. Crucially, they also play in systems designed to maximize their strengths.
If Rangers can offer the right setup, Mofokeng could flourish despite his slight build.
