Former Everton Chief Keith Wyness Claims Tottenham Star Richarlison Would Be "Lauded and Worshipped" in Saudi Arabia if He Completes Summer Transfer
Speaking on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old former CEO of Everton (2004-2009) and current football consultant suggested that many smaller Saudi clubs are “looking to make a name for themselves” and could be potential destinations for the 27-year-old Richarlison.
Richarlison has been widely linked with a move to the Middle East in recent transfer windows. Sources have informed Football Insider that there is a strong likelihood he could still leave by the 31 August transfer deadline.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are in search of a new striker this summer to replace their departed talisman, Harry Kane.
Richarlison scored 12 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions last season, with 21 of those as part of Ange Postecoglou’s starting lineup. He joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 and is under contract for three more years.

Wyness backed the Brazil international to succeed in Saudi Arabia, where 28 players were registered in the top flight for the 2023-24 campaign.
He told Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast: “I know the Saudi market well enough to know that any Brazilian player is lauded and worshipped.
Richarlison is capable of scoring spectacular goals and plays in a typical Brazilian style.
“I think he’d be a good name for Saudi, a true ‘wow’ signing. As I’ve mentioned, many clubs outside the big four are looking to make a name for themselves, and Richarlison would be a great purchase for any of those sides.”
