BOMBSHELL: Leeds Officials Race Across Europe RIGHT NOW to Seal Explosive 4th Summer Signing – He’s a Carbon-Copy of Stach and Could Completely Transform the Club!

Leeds United’s Midfield Quality Could Define Their 2026/27 Season

Leeds United’s summer recruitment has focused on adding quality to Daniel Farke’s squad ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

After successfully avoiding relegation last season, Farke has received backing from the 49ers.

Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford have arrived for a combined £79m, strengthening Leeds’ defensive options.

However, Anton Stach could prove just as important to the club’s ambitions.

Stach joined Leeds from Hoffenheim for around £18m and quickly established himself as a fan favourite.

The midfielder made 29 Premier League appearances last season, contributing eight goals and assists while threatening opponents with powerful efforts from distance.

His influence extended beyond attacking statistics.

Stach created 2.4 chances per game, the highest figure among Farke’s players, while also winning more aerial duels than any other Leeds midfielder and recording the team’s highest tackle rate per 90 minutes.

His energy and versatility made him an ideal partner for captain Ethan Ampadu, particularly after Farke adopted a 3-5-2 formation.

Considering his relatively modest transfer fee, Stach delivered excellent value and could become even more influential during the upcoming campaign.

Leeds are still looking for further midfield quality, with Real Betis’ Nelson Deossa emerging as a target.

Reports from Diario de Sevilla claim Leeds representatives watched the Colombian during Betis’ recent meeting with Arsenal in Dublin and were impressed by his performance.

However, his display may have made negotiations more difficult, with Betis reportedly keen to retain him.

Deossa’s statistics suggest he could offer many of the qualities that have made Stach so valuable.

Last season, he recorded a remarkable 78% dribble success rate in LaLiga and created 1.2 chances per 90 minutes, highlighting his ability to progress the ball and influence attacking situations.

The 26-year-old was equally impressive defensively. He won 71% of his aerial duels, ranking him among the top four percent of players across Europe’s five major leagues.

He also averaged 1.7 tackles per 90 minutes and won 60% of his ground duels.

Deossa also possesses Stach’s ability to strike the ball from range, demonstrated by his spectacular goal in Betis’ 3-1 victory over Arsenal, watched by Leeds representatives.

While the potential transfer fee remains unclear, Deossa appears capable of making a significant impact in Yorkshire.

Rather than replacing Stach, he could complement him, giving Farke two dynamic, physical and technically gifted midfielders capable of influencing matches at both ends of the pitch.

Their partnership could become a major strength for Leeds in 2026/27.
