BOMBSHELL TRANSFER CHAOS! Newcastle Launch DESPERATE HIJACK Mission for Brazil’s Hottest Star After Rival’s SHADY Illegal Move is BLOWN WIDE OPEN! You won’t believe how this drama is unfolding…

Newcastle United urged to push ahead with Danilo deal after completing Aladji Bamba signing

Newcastle United have taken an important step in reshaping their midfield after securing the signing of Aladji Bamba from AS Monaco, but Eddie Howe’s rebuild is far from complete.

Bamba arrives at St James’ Park as uncertainty continues to surround captain Bruno Guimaraes’ future, while Sandro Tonali’s departure has left another major gap in the middle of the park.

Although the Monaco youngster strengthens Newcastle’s defensive options, the Magpies remain keen to recruit another midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Bamba’s arrival is expected to add steel to Howe’s side.

The 20-year-old excelled defensively in Ligue 1 last season, averaging an impressive 9.1 duels won per game, highlighting his ability to dominate without the ball.

Joelinton is set to become an even more influential figure as Newcastle adapt to a revamped midfield, but reports suggest he could soon be joined by fellow Brazilian Danilo.

The former Nottingham Forest midfielder has impressed since joining Botafogo, scoring seven goals this year while also showcasing his defensive qualities.

According to reports from Brazil, relayed by Sport Witness, Botafogo are prepared to sell Danilo this summer.

The midfielder reportedly has a release clause worth just €20 million (£17 million), making him an attractive target for Newcastle.

After featuring in Botafogo’s draw with Vitoria, Danilo is no longer eligible to play for another Brazilian club this season, effectively ending Palmeiras’ interest and increasing the likelihood of a move to Europe.

Newcastle have already opened discussions with Botafogo, but they face stiff competition from Zenit, who have reportedly tabled an offer worth around £34 million.

Having missed out on several transfer targets in recent windows, the Magpies will be eager to avoid another disappointment and secure Danilo, who is viewed as an ideal, affordable successor to Guimaraes.
