BREAKING: Leeds United Ready to SMASH the Transfer Window Wide Open With SIX MORE Bombshell Signings as They Close In on INSANE Club-Record Mega-Deal for UNSTOPPABLE World-Class Superstar!

Leeds United Plot Six More Signings as James Trafford Deal Nears Completion

Leeds United are preparing for a busy spell in the transfer market, with goalkeeper James Trafford potentially becoming the first of as many as six new arrivals at Elland Road before the window closes.

The Whites are reportedly closing in on a club-record £40 million deal plus add-ons for Trafford.

The Manchester City goalkeeper is expected to become Daniel Farke’s first-choice goalkeeper, giving him an opportunity to establish himself as one of England’s leading options for the future.

Leeds have been in urgent need of a new goalkeeper following the departures of Karl Darlow and Ilan Meslier earlier this summer.

Both players left as free agents after their contracts expired, with Darlow joining Manchester United and Meslier moving to Arsenal.

However, Trafford’s arrival could trigger another change between the posts.

Lucas Perri is expected to leave Leeds for Torino on an initial loan, meaning Alex Cairns would be the only other senior goalkeeper available to Farke.

As a result, the club are expected to recruit another goalkeeper to provide competition and cover for Trafford.

Sky Sports reporter Zinny Boswell has indicated that finding a backup for Trafford remains on Leeds’ transfer agenda, although no specific target has yet been identified.

The club’s recruitment plans extend beyond the goalkeeping position.

Leeds are searching for an attacking midfielder after missing out on Julian Brandt, who chose to join Ajax.

Marseille winger Igor Paixao has subsequently emerged as another player reportedly attracting interest from the Premier League side.

Farke’s squad could also receive another central midfielder. Leeds previously made several attempts to sign Southampton’s Shea Charles but have so far been unsuccessful.

Despite that setback, a third offer is reportedly still available should Southampton reconsider their position.

Defensive reinforcements are also being considered, with Leeds potentially adding a versatile defender before the deadline.

The club are also keen to strengthen their forward options, despite the recent arrival of Harry Wilson.

Wilson has provided another attacking option out wide, but Leeds still want additional cover for strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha as they prepare for another Premier League campaign.

At the same time, Leeds are expected to sanction further departures. Perri remains the most obvious candidate, with his proposed move to Torino dependent on Trafford completing his switch to Elland Road.

The Brazilian goalkeeper only arrived at Leeds last summer but struggled during his debut campaign and eventually lost his starting position to Darlow.

With Perri now seemingly heading for Italy, securing a reliable backup for Trafford will be an important part of Leeds’ remaining transfer business.
