Newcastle United PULL OFF THE TRANSFER HEIST OF THE CENTURY! They’ve just STOLEN pole position and left every rival club in total chaos in the race for a £51m attacker who’s being called the NEW HAALAND — and this one could change EVERYTHING!

Newcastle United gain edge in race for Antonio Nusa after midfield focus

Newcastle United appear ready to shift their transfer attention from midfield to the wings after completing the signing of Aladji Bamba, with RB Leipzig star Antonio Nusa emerging as a leading target.

The Norway international enhanced his growing reputation with an impressive World Cup campaign, building on a strong Bundesliga season for Leipzig.

His performances have attracted significant interest, and Newcastle are now reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Nusa has long been regarded as one of Norway’s brightest talents.

Former youth coach Gaute Larsen even claimed he was a bigger prospect than Erling Haaland at the same age, while ex-Club Brugge boss Ronny Deila urged patience despite praising his exciting qualities.

Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer has also described the winger as one of Europe’s standout young talents.

According to reports in Italy, Newcastle have overtaken AS Roma in the pursuit of Nusa, leaving the Serie A side fearing they will miss out.

Leipzig are believed to value the 20-year-old at around £51 million, a fee Newcastle are better positioned to meet than their Italian rivals.

Although Nusa contributed nine goal involvements last season, his dribbling ability has made him one of the Bundesliga’s most dangerous wide players, suggesting there is still considerable room for improvement.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are also looking to add experience to their squad. The Magpies have reportedly opened talks over a free transfer for former Rangers captain James Tavernier following his departure from the Scottish club.

With Kieran Trippier no longer at St James’ Park, Tavernier’s experience could provide valuable cover and leadership at right-back ahead of the new season.
