Plymouth’s key three-goal attacker suspended for Leeds clash, while Daniel Farke deals with defensive absence

Leeds United will miss Jayden Bogle for their upcoming league match, marking the first time he’ll be absent since joining from Sheffield United this summer.

Bogle received his fifth yellow card of the season during their game against Bristol City, leading to a one-match suspension.

The team is considering Isaac Schmidt and Sam Byram as potential replacements at right-back, though missing out would be particularly disappointing for Schmidt.

Bogle’s suspension comes amid a delicate situation for Leeds, as three other players have been close to similar disciplinary issues.

In Cissoko’s place, Frederick Issaka was selected for the game against Preston North End, where he managed to score in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

His performance offers hope, though Plymouth will certainly feel Cissoko’s absence.

Plymouth has some Leeds ties within their squad, though one of them will also be unavailable for this match.

Darko Gyabi, on a season-long loan from Leeds, is ineligible to play against his parent club, which represents a tactical setback for Plymouth’s manager, Wayne Rooney.

Another former Leeds player, Adam Forshaw, however, may make an appearance in the midfield.

Forshaw, who joined Plymouth from Norwich City in January, has been a regular starter and could now face Leeds for the first time since leaving the club in the summer of 2023.
