Meanwhile, preparations for the transition to the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium next season are progressing smoothly.
A second test event, accommodating 25,000 spectators, is scheduled for 23 March.
However, one shortcoming of the Friedkins’ tenure so far has been the lack of signings in the winter transfer window.
The only incoming player at Finch Farm was Carlos Alcaraz, who arrived on loan from Flamengo.
Everton Set to Appoint Angus Kinnear
This situation is expected to change in the summer transfer window as Everton prepares for a new chapter at Bramley-Moore Dock.
A significant indication of this shift is the club’s imminent appointment of Angus Kinnear from Leeds United.
Interest in Kinnear first emerged in February, and now journalist David Ornstein has confirmed via The Athletic that the executive is set to join Everton.
Reporting alongside Beren Cross on 7 March, Ornstein also noted that Leeds United will appoint Peter McCormick as a non-executive director following Kinnear’s departure.
While McCormick will begin his role immediately, Kinnear will remain at Leeds until the end of the season.
As a result, Everton must wait until summer for his arrival.
Moyes to Benefit from Kinnear’s Appointment
Goodison Park’s summer transfer planning is likely already in motion, but Kinnear’s arrival will streamline the process for The Friedkin Group.
At Leeds, he was responsible for overseeing daily club operations, and he is expected to assume a similar role at Everton.
His influence will be crucial in shaping Everton’s recruitment strategy.
With the Friedkin Group opting not to directly replace former director of football Kevin Thelwell, Kinnear will play a vital role in managing the club’s transfer dealings and overall operations moving forward.
