Spertsyan, 24, is no stranger to Leeds manager Daniel Farke, who had a brief tenure at Krasnodar and would be familiar with the midfielder’s qualities.

According to Sport Express, the club’s interest in Spertsyan remains active, and it’s easy to see why.

In the most recent season, he delivered an impressive return of 11 goals and six assists in 28 league matches.

He also captained Krasnodar to a title-clinching 3-0 victory over Dynamo Moscow — underlining both his leadership and impact on the pitch.

Despite being encouraged to consider moves to Spain or Serie A, a switch to the Premier League may represent the perfect next step for Spertsyan.

He has already been named Armenia’s Player of the Year in 2022, cementing his status as one of the nation’s top talents.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a decorated midfielder himself, has praised Spertsyan on Instagram, referring to him as a “rising star.”

Given such endorsements and performances, Spertsyan may be a prime candidate to bolster Leeds United’s ambitions next season.
