“Liverpool Set to Smash Transfer Records with Jaw-Dropping £75M Newcastle Mega-Deal!”
Newcastle Set £75-80m Price Tag as Liverpool Renew Interest in Gordon

On the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke shared insights from sources regarding Liverpool’s continued pursuit of Anthony Gordon, as the club considers a renewed move for the 24-year-old winger.
Newcastle United are reportedly determined to retain their star man, with insiders describing any potential transfer as “difficult.” The Magpies are said to be holding out for a “huge” fee if they are to part ways with Gordon.
This follows an exclusive Football Insider report from 22 May that revealed Liverpool are still monitoring the player and could reignite their interest this summer.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown added that Newcastle may still be tempted to cash in on Gordon to help balance the books.
However, sources close to the club have indicated that Newcastle’s recent Champions League qualification has significantly improved their financial position under Profit and Sustainability Regulations (PSR), meaning they are under no immediate pressure to sell key players.

Liverpool eyeing fresh approach for Anthony Gordon
Gordon nearly joined Liverpool last summer when Newcastle faced the prospect of offloading players to ease their PSR burden.
The Merseyside club has retained a strong interest in the England international ever since, especially in light of growing transfer speculation surrounding current winger Luis Diaz.
Should Diaz depart — with reported interest from Barcelona and clubs in the Saudi Pro League — Gordon is seen as a leading candidate to fill the void on Liverpool’s left flank. Speaking to Football Insider, O’Rourke explained the situation:
“This is a move that hinges on several variables. If Diaz ends up leaving Liverpool, whether to Barcelona, Saudi Arabia, or another destination, the club will be actively looking for a left-sided winger.
“Anthony Gordon came close to joining Liverpool last summer during a period when Newcastle were evaluating their options under financial pressure.
Since then, Liverpool have continued to track his performances closely and remain interested.
“Newcastle don’t want to lose him. He’s a crucial part of Eddie Howe’s plans and only signed a long-term contract in October following speculation about his future.

To get Newcastle to consider selling, any bid would likely need to be in the region of £75-80 million.
“It’s a challenging transfer to pull off. Newcastle’s Champions League status has strengthened their financial standing, so they’re not desperate to offload key players.”
Rafael Leao also on Liverpool’s radar
Anthony Gordon isn’t the only winger linked with a move to Anfield this summer. AC Milan star Rafael Leao has also attracted Liverpool’s attention amid uncertainty over Diaz’s future.
Speaking to Football Insider on 10 June, Mick Brown revealed that Liverpool scouts have been monitoring the 26-year-old Portuguese forward.
Leao has emerged as a major transfer target for several top Premier League sides, and there is increasing speculation that Milan could sanction a big-money move.
In an earlier report from 18 May, Brown also confirmed Arsenal’s interest in Leao, noting that the Gunners may act if Gabriel Martinelli is sold during the upcoming transfer window.
