It’s been a frustrating summer window for Newcastle, with failed pursuits and now the potential departure of a key player in Isak.

However, there is a clear commitment from the club’s hierarchy to reinforce Eddie Howe’s squad in preparation for their Champions League campaign.

While the future of Isak remains uncertain, Newcastle are pressing ahead with plans to bring in Wissa regardless of the Swedish striker’s decision.
