Harry Kane’s 2023 move to Bayern Munich for £86 million has proven to be an inspired one.

Since joining the German champions, the England captain has netted over 100 goals and played a vital role in guiding them to the Bundesliga title last season.

After finally lifting a major trophy, speculation has begun to swirl about whether Kane could make a sensational return to Tottenham Hotspur in the near future.

Spurs head coach Thomas Frank recently admitted he would love to see Kane back in north London.

The prospect isn’t entirely unrealistic, as a clause in the striker’s contract reportedly allows him to leave Bayern for under £60 million.

According to TBR Football, Tottenham would have no problem financing such a move.

However, there might be a catch, as Press Association journalist George Sessions has explained.

Speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, Sessions predicted that a Kane homecoming is likely—but not anytime soon.

“I do think he will come back to Tottenham,” Sessions said. “I just don’t know when. Everything that’s happened over the last few days points to it being north of 2027, I’d say.”

At 32, Kane shows no signs of slowing down. He has already scored 18 goals in his first 10 appearances of the current season and appears fully settled in Germany.

Despite reported interest from Real Madrid, there’s little indication he is pushing for another move anytime soon.

Still, the lure of the Premier League remains powerful. Kane sits just 48 goals short of Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260 and could yet be tempted to return home to chase that milestone.

When asked about the possibility of returning to England, Kane admitted that his perspective has evolved since leaving Spurs.

“In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that,” he told reporters this week. “I haven’t had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they come up, I’d be open to an honest discussion.

It depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I’m in a fantastic moment and not thinking about anything else.”

Reflecting on a Premier League comeback, he added: “If you’d asked me when I first joined Bayern, I’d have said for sure I’d come back.

Now, after a couple of years, that’s gone down a little bit—but I’d never say never. What I’ve learned in my career is that opportunities and timing often align unexpectedly. For now, though, I’m completely focused on Bayern.”
