Randal Kolo Muani, who joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day, finally made his first start for the club nearly two months after arriving.

The French forward has now overcome his early injury setbacks and was handed the responsibility of leading the line at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, starting ahead of both Mathys Tel and Richarlison.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank expressed satisfaction with Kolo Muani’s full debut, acknowledging the challenges of facing Everton’s rugged defensive pairing of Michael Kean and James Tarkowski.

Frank noted that the striker is still working towards peak match fitness but was encouraged by his work rate and movement off the ball.

The Dutchman was deployed on the left wing against Everton, with Mohammed Kudus taking up the central attacking role, and he delivered a much-improved display.

“I like Xavi,” Frank added. “He found some good positions, even though the final decisive actions are still missing.

But there were positive signs. He just needs to keep building, keep working, and stay patient.”

Both Kolo Muani and Simons showed glimpses of promise, leaving Frank optimistic about their growing influence in the weeks ahead.
