BOMBSHELL TRANSFER ALERT! Aston Villa on the VERGE of STEALING Everton’s English SUPERSTAR in a STUNNING Raid – Journalist Drops EXPLOSIVE Exclusive! (Will Everton fans survive this one?

Aston Villa are considering another move for an Everton player as they continue to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window.
The two Premier League clubs have developed a strong transfer relationship in recent years.
Everton signed Tim Iroegbunam from Villa in a swap-style deal that saw Lewis Dobbin head in the opposite direction, while Amadou Onana and Lucas Digne also left Goodison Park to join the Midlands outfit in previous windows.

With Champions League football on the horizon, Unai Emery is determined to add greater quality and depth to his squad.
Reinforcing the midfield has become an even bigger priority following Amadou Onana’s serious knee injury and the departure of Youri Tielemans after Manchester United triggered his release clause.
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Aston Villa are once again weighing up a move for Everton midfielder James Garner.

The report states that Villa remain long-term admirers of the England international, having previously explored a deal during the January transfer window.
Garner enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign and established himself as one of Everton’s most influential performers.
His consistency, work rate and composure in midfield made him a key figure, meaning Everton are unlikely to entertain offers without demanding a significant transfer fee.
Villa have already strengthened their midfield by signing Joao Gomes from Wolves, while Johan Manzambi has also arrived from Freiburg in a high-profile move.
However, Manzambi is expected to operate further forward, either as an attacking midfielder or in a wider role, rather than as a central midfielder.
That leaves Emery still searching for another player capable of controlling games from deeper positions, and Garner is viewed as someone who fits that profile perfectly.
His Premier League experience, versatility and ability on the ball make him an attractive option as Villa prepare for the demands of competing on multiple fronts next season.
Any deal, though, is expected to prove difficult. Everton have little desire to lose one of their standout performers, particularly after his impressive campaign.
They are also fully aware that Villa have significant financial backing following the lucrative sale of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea, placing them in a strong position to spend heavily if they decide to pursue Garner seriously.
