BOMBSHELL TRANSFER EXCLUSIVE: Newcastle Go ABSOLUTELY CRAZY For Yet ANOTHER Ligue 1 Midfielder After Epic Aladji Bamba Heist – Bruno Guimaraes FUTURE IN TATTERS! This one’s going to send shockwaves through the Premier League…

Newcastle United are closing in on the signing of highly-rated Monaco midfielder Aladji Bamba after reaching an agreement worth around €40 million (£34 million), with the France youth international already in England ahead of his medical.
The 20-year-old is expected to finalise his move before the weekend, with Newcastle hopeful of confirming the transfer once the remaining formalities have been completed.
The deal represents another significant investment in the club’s long-term midfield plans as Eddie Howe continues to strengthen his squad.
During negotiations with Monaco, Newcastle also explored the possibility of signing another talented midfielder, Lamine Camara.

The Senegal international remains firmly on the Magpies’ radar, although club sources insist Bamba was always the top target for sporting director Ross Wilson and the recruitment team.
Newcastle have followed Bamba’s progress closely since his breakthrough campaign in Ligue 1.
After rising through Monaco’s academy, the defensive midfielder established himself as a key first-team player last season, attracting widespread attention from clubs across Europe.
The Magpies faced fierce competition to secure his signature.
Premier League rivals Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton all monitored the youngster extensively throughout the summer, while Bundesliga clubs RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen also tracked his development.
Serie A champions Napoli were another club to show serious interest before Newcastle stepped up their pursuit.
Despite the growing list of admirers, Newcastle successfully convinced Bamba that St James’ Park was the ideal destination for the next phase of his career, with the club presenting a clear vision for his development and future role.
Importantly, sources have stressed that Bamba’s arrival should not be interpreted as a sign Newcastle are preparing to lose Bruno Guimaraes.
The Brazil international remains a central figure in Howe’s plans, and the club’s recruitment strategy has always included adding further quality and depth in midfield regardless of any speculation surrounding his future.
Away from incoming business, Newcastle continue discussions with Besiktas over a potential move for Joe Willock.
The former Arsenal midfielder is entering the final year of his contract and is understood to be keen on a switch to Turkey.
Club officials have reportedly informed Willock that he is not part of their long-term contract plans, increasing the likelihood of a summer departure before the transfer window closes.
While Bamba’s arrival appears imminent, Newcastle’s interest in Camara remains strong, with the Monaco midfielder continuing to be monitored as the Magpies plan for both immediate success and sustained growth in the years ahead.
