Anselmo MacNulty has been mentioned in connection with a move to Leeds
According to Spanish sources, Leeds are eyeing 21-year-old Anselmo MacNulty, a Spanish-born player who represents Ireland U21s, as Firpo’s successor. Ironically, MacNulty was part of Betis’ academy until 2019 and remains on their radar.
Leeds reportedly will only let Firpo leave if they secure the signing of PEC Zwolle’s star, whether as a center-back or left-back, who contributed to four goals in 32 appearances last season.
The asking price for Zwolle’s left-footed talent remains uncertain, but MacNulty has already been linked with Leeds earlier this summer. Thus, Firpo’s departure hinges on whether Leeds can successfully acquire MacNulty.
