Opinion: Ange likely thrilled by boost for 96% pass accuracy Tottenham star after yesterday’s events

Tottenham Hotspur has had a tough start to the season, particularly in the Premier League.

Although a five-match winning streak seemed to boost morale, it was short-lived as Spurs suffered a 3-2 defeat to Brighton at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, October 6.

However, he also made a crucial mistake, allowing himself to be dribbled past, which contributed to Spurs conceding.

This inconsistency was also evident in Tottenham’s opening match of the season, a 1-1 draw against Leicester City on August 19.

Despite Spurs dominating the game, Romero made a costly error by losing focus at a key moment, leading to Leicester’s equalizer.

Statistically, he performed well, winning 100 percent of his ground duels, making three clearances, and completing 93 percent of his passes.

But this lapse in concentration didn’t show up in the stats, with former Spurs scout Bryan King singling him out for blame.

Romero’s talent is undeniable, highlighted by ongoing transfer rumors linking him with other clubs.

Postecoglou will be hoping that this period of rest helps his vice-captain regain his top form and deliver the consistent performances Spurs need going forward.
