West Ham’s transfer plans are accelerating ahead of the upcoming Premier League season as they close in on another signing for a two-year deal.
West Ham United Sign Crysencio Summerville
Julen Lopetegui’s side has already been busy this summer, with Max Kilman from Wolves as their headline addition.
In an impressive move, West Ham flexed their muscles in the market twice. First, they beat competition to sign Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, with the teenager arriving in a big-money move.
Now, they have won the race for Leeds United winger and Championship Player of the Year, Crysencio Summerville, who arrived in east London in a deal worth over £25m.
The Dutch U21 international has signed a five-year deal with an option for an additional year.

Despite the significant outlay this summer, the Hammers show no signs of slowing down and have another move lined up.
West Ham Closing In on Midfielder
West Ham is nearing a deal for Guido Rodriguez, who is currently a free agent, as they look to end their hunt for a new midfielder.
The former Real Betis midfielder saw his stint with the Spanish club end this summer and was linked with a move to Barcelona, but Xavi’s departure changed that.
Now, he is bound for east London, with Sky Sports revealing that the Hammers have agreed on a deal for the Argentine midfielder, who was part of the squad that lifted the Copa America earlier in the summer.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano shed more light on the move, explaining that the 30-year-old will sign a two-year deal at the London Stadium, with Rodriguez now set for a medical with the Hammers.
Valued at €20m (£17m) by Transfermarkt, he will arrive on a free transfer following 139 La Liga appearances for Betis, scoring six times and grabbing two assists.
Statistically, he ranks similarly to Edson Alvarez, and it is likely that the pair will compete for the same spot in Lopetegui’s XI. Rodriguez’s addition will reduce the reliance on the Mexican and allow him more rest.
On a free transfer with a two-year deal, it feels like a very sensible addition for the Hammers.
