West Ham United defender Nayef Aguerd is in advanced negotiations for a move to Real Sociedad on transfer deadline day, as reported by Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.
The discussions between the clubs are centered around an initial loan agreement, with Aguerd potentially leaving following the arrivals of Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo at West Ham.
Aguerd, a 28-year-old Moroccan international, featured in 21 league matches for West Ham last season under David Moyes, scoring once in 1,859 minutes of play.
Earlier this week, Aguerd was also linked to a potential move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ittihad expressing interest in the center-back as the transfer window neared its close.
Real Sociedad is keen to secure Aguerd on a temporary deal, and West Ham is now in direct discussions to finalize his late departure.
Since joining West Ham in 2022 for £30 million on a five-year contract, Aguerd has made 58 appearances in all competitions and scored four goals.
Recently, several European clubs, including Wolfsburg, Villarreal, Fiorentina, and Porto, have shown interest in the 28-year-old defender.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler is on the verge of joining West Ham United, with plans to undergo medical examinations at the London Stadium today, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 27-year-old is close to leaving Parc des Princes just two years after his transfer from Valencia on a long-term contract.
Romano reports that West Ham will acquire Soler on a season-long loan with an option to purchase him next summer, while also covering the full salary of the Spanish international.
