“ABSOLUTELY THRILLED!” – Nuno Goes WILD Over West Ham’s “UNSTOPPABLE” Star DOMINATING Training Like NEVER Before!

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has wasted no time making big decisions at Rush Green, with midfielder James Ward-Prowse already dropped from his plans — though one player has reportedly impressed him behind the scenes.

Nuno’s big calls ahead of Arsenal showdown

The Hammers face Premier League title challengers Arsenal this weekend, presenting Nuno with a major early test in his tenure.

His debut ended in a respectable 1-1 draw away at Everton, but the Portuguese coach knows his side must improve defensively if they are to stand any chance against Mikel Arteta’s free-scoring Gunners.

West Ham have struggled badly at the back this season, looking vulnerable in open play and particularly weak from set-pieces — an area Arsenal are renowned for exploiting. Their recent results highlight the problem:

Sunderland 3-0 West Ham

West Ham 1-5 Chelsea

Nottingham Forest 0-3 West Ham

West Ham 0-3 Tottenham

West Ham 1-2 Crystal Palace

Everton 1-1 West Ham

Speaking ahead of the Arsenal clash, Nuno admitted his concern over the team’s inability to defend dead-ball situations.

“It’s a problem we have to solve,” he said. “We’ve been working on it and improved in the last game, but it’s still something we’re addressing.

Set-pieces can decide matches, and we have good headers of the ball — it’s about timing and organisation. Saturday will be a big test for us.”

Meanwhile, Ward-Prowse’s future looks increasingly uncertain.

The 30-year-old, omitted entirely from the matchday squad at Everton, is reportedly not part of Nuno’s long-term vision.

Less than a year after his short Nottingham Forest loan under the same manager ended abruptly, the midfielder appears set to depart in January, with Nuno seemingly unconvinced by what he offers to his system.
