BOMBSHELL TRANSFER ALERT! Newcastle United Launch SHOCK RAID to Steal Arsenal’s Forgotten WORLD CUP SUPERSTAR They Let Slip Through Their Fingers in DISASTROUS Blunder You won’t believe who’s heading to St James’ Park

Newcastle United could once again be in the market for a new striker this summer after an underwhelming campaign from several of Eddie Howe’s attacking options.
While the Magpies remain ambitious, their lack of consistency in front of goal has highlighted the need for reinforcements ahead of the new season.
One player who has failed to make the desired impact is Yoane Wissa. Signed from Brentford in a deal worth around £55 million, the DR Congo international struggled to justify his price tag, scoring just once in 19 Premier League appearances.

His disappointing form has left many supporters unconvinced, and it appears the club could already be considering moving him on after only one season.
Despite his struggles at club level, Wissa has rediscovered his confidence on the international stage.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed an excellent FIFA World Cup campaign with DR Congo, scoring three goals in as many matches to help his country secure a place in the Round of 32.
Even so, Newcastle’s stance reportedly remains unchanged, with the club believed to be open to offers if a suitable replacement can be found.
According to reports from France, Newcastle have identified AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun as a leading target.
The Magpies are said to be actively searching for a new centre-forward while simultaneously exploring options to offload Wissa during the transfer window.

However, Newcastle are not alone in the pursuit. Aston Villa are also closely monitoring Balogun’s situation as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his squad for another Champions League campaign.
Villa’s ability to offer European football could make them strong competitors in the race for the American international.
Balogun has also been in impressive form at the World Cup, helping the United States reach the knockout rounds with two goals and an assist in just two appearances.
His performances have further increased interest in his services.
Monaco reportedly value the 24-year-old at around £50 million. The former Arsenal striker joined the Ligue 1 side in August 2023 for approximately £35 million and has since established himself as the club’s first-choice striker.
With two years remaining on his contract, Monaco are under no immediate pressure to sell.
For Newcastle, Balogun represents a long-term solution in attack. The American forward has matured significantly during his time in France and has developed into a reliable goalscorer.
His pace, movement and finishing ability could provide the cutting edge Howe is searching for, particularly following Alexander Isak’s departure to Liverpool last summer.
With Nick Woltemade still adapting to English football and Wissa struggling for consistency, Balogun appears to be an ideal fit.
He enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, registering 19 goals and five assists in 43 appearances across all competitions.
At 24, he is entering the prime years of his career, making the reported £50 million asking price look like a worthwhile investment for a Newcastle side eager to rebuild their attack.
