NBA Player Compares Teammate To Larry Bird

Nikola Jokic’s impressive prowess and talent on the court captivate millions of fans, but they’re not the only ones left in awe by his performance during every game.

On SiriusXM NBA Radio, Nuggets player Aaron Gordon called Jokic a “straight master” of basketball and compared him to Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird.

“He’s Larry but taller, bigger, and stronger,” Gordon said.

Gordon discussed Jokic’s knack for reading the floor, locating teammates, and creating plays, qualities that many people frequently commend when discussing Jokic.

Despite his imposing stature as one of the league’s tallest centers, Jokic moves with remarkable agility and speed.

He displays versatility by seamlessly transitioning between positions, exhibiting guard-like passing and shooting skills while also fulfilling defensive and paint-presence duties typically associated with forwards or centers.

With his formidable combination of size, strength, and skill, Jokic proves to be a formidable force on the court, often appearing unstoppable. In the playoffs, he has excelled, averaging 28.2 points across five games against the Los Angeles Lakers, while also leading the league in rebounds (16.2) and assists (9.8).

Now, faced with an even tougher opponent in the Minnesota Timberwolves, Jokic will need to once again showcase his Bird-esque abilities.
