Doctor: Everton player sidelined with suspected Grade 1 injury expected to be fit for Ipswich Town match
Everton defender Vitalii Mykolenko is anticipated to recover in time for the Ipswich Town clash on 19 October, according to Dr. Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert suggests that Ukraine international Vitalii Mykolenko is likely dealing with a Grade 1 setback, which isn’t considered too serious.
The issue began as a minor knock, but it’s not expected to keep him out of Everton’s upcoming match at Portman Road.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, physical therapy and sports science specialist Brar commented on Mykolenko’s condition: “There’s little information from Dyche, but if it’s a Grade 1 injury, which is likely, I’d expect him to return after the break.
It started as a small knock that developed into a strain, but it’s not seen as particularly serious.”
Everton manager Sean Dyche will be pleased to have the 25-year-old back in contention.
Mykolenko has started five Premier League matches this season and remains Dyche’s top choice for the left-back position.
In his absence, Ashley Young has filled the role. Although Young has performed reasonably well, Mykolenko is considered a clear upgrade.
It remains to be seen whether the Ukraine international will be fit enough to play the full 90 minutes for Everton on October 19.
