Club May Initiate Talks with Everton for Player – Attractive Swap Deal Possible

Yesterday, we reported on Atalanta’s interest in Everton’s Beto, as covered by TuttoAtalanta.

With Gianluca Scamacca sidelined for an extended period due to a knee injury, Atalanta is seeking a replacement, and Beto is a key target.

La Gazzetta dello Sport adds that Atalanta is considering a potential swap deal involving Beto and their striker, El Bilal Touré, possibly with additional cash.

Both players are under contract for three years, with Everton having paid around €25 million for Beto and Atalanta around €29 million for Touré.

Touré is reportedly keen to play as a central striker, a role he prefers over the wide positions Atalanta’s manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, envisions for him.

On the other hand, Beto may be tempted by the prospect of playing in the Champions League, as Atalanta is set to face Real Madrid in the Super Cup final.

The club is keen to finalize the deal before that match.
