“Leicester Monitors Player as Potential Future Challenger Despite Profile Mismatch”

Leicester City is reportedly eyeing Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Jean Butez as a potential addition to their squad, potentially providing competition for current number one Mads Hermansen.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Leicester is interested in Butez, although he may not perfectly align with their ideal profile for a goalkeeper.

Despite this, the club sees him as a promising option for the future.

Currently, Leicester has four goalkeepers on their roster: Mads Hermansen, Daniel Iversen, Danny Ward, and Jakub Stolarczyk.

It appears the club might not be entirely satisfied with these options, leading them to explore the possibility of bringing in Butez as a viable challenger to Hermansen.

While Leicester has not yet made any formal offers, they are closely monitoring Butez’s performances and situation.

Moreover, it is reported that Anderlecht is also interested in Butez, which adds another layer of urgency for Leicester to act swiftly.

Tavolieri indicates that Leicester is likely to revisit their pursuit of Butez after the international transfer window closes, which remains open in Belgium until September 6th.

As the situation develops, it is clear that Butez is a player of significant interest, with Leicester and other clubs keeping a close watch.
