Everton Eye Move for AS Monaco Striker Mika Biereth – Caught Offside Reports
Mika Biereth, a 22-year-old forward, began his career in Arsenal’s youth ranks but failed to break into the Gunners’ first team.
To gain regular playing time and experience, he was sent out on multiple loan spells before securing a permanent move to Austrian side SK Sturm Graz last summer.
After impressing in Austria, the Danish striker earned a transfer to AS Monaco during the January window.
He had a strong second half of the season in Ligue 1, where he netted 13 goals and provided two assists in just 16 appearances.
His contributions helped Monaco finish in the top three and secure Champions League qualification.
Now, according to Caught Offside, Premier League club Everton have shown interest in the young striker following his standout performances in France. They are reportedly considering a formal offer in the coming weeks.
Although Monaco only recently signed him, they are open to letting him go if a bid in the region of £40 million is submitted. Biereth’s current contract runs until 2029.
However, Everton face competition, as Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also monitoring the player.
Newcastle are actively seeking attacking reinforcements to support Alexander Isak.
While they have been targeting Yoane Wissa after missing out on Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, Biereth could emerge as an alternative—especially since he’s reportedly interested in a move to St James’ Park.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa are considering Biereth as a contingency plan should Ollie Watkins depart this summer, given the persistent speculation over his future.
Everton, for their part, recently signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal to bolster their forward line following Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s exit as a free agent.
Manager David Moyes currently has Barry and Beto as striker options, making their continued pursuit of another centre-forward somewhat unexpected.
Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether the Toffees will follow through with a formal bid for Biereth before the transfer window closes.
