The contest started with Alabama’s offense facing some early struggles, as Jenna Johnson’s leadoff single was followed by three consecutive outs. However, the tide began to turn in the third inning when Abby Duchscherer’s double drove in Kenleigh Cahalan, providing the first run of the game.
