49ers urged to consider Shankland signing

Despite current doubts about his form, journalist Keith Jackson believes Shankland will rediscover his scoring touch if he departs Tynecastle.

Speaking on Hotline Live (13 April), Jackson said: “The chances are [Hearts] are going to lose Shankland.

And you watch, I don’t know where he’ll end up, but what I’m prepared to wager is that as soon as he’s settled and he’s ended up wherever he’s ended up, he’ll start scoring goals again.”

Looking ahead, Igamane should be the primary choice leading the line for the Gers next season—assuming he remains at the club.

At just 22, he offers both potential and room for development, something Cyriel Dessers lacks at this stage in his career.

Although Dessers has shown flashes of quality under Ferguson, his inconsistency has made him unreliable.
