Leeds United have secured their Premier League status and will compete in the top flight again next season, but if they want to establish themselves as a consistent force at this level, further improvements to the squad will be required.

The arrival of 10 new signings last summer significantly strengthened the team throughout the campaign.

Players such as Anton Stach, Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have all made strong contributions and improved the overall quality within Daniel Farke’s side.

Despite the progress made, there are still several areas that need attention ahead of the summer transfer window.

Goalkeeper is one position Leeds may have to address, especially with three current senior options approaching the end of their contracts.

Another area likely to receive attention is the attack. Reports earlier this year suggested the 49ers were eager to add another centre-forward, and fresh links have now emerged involving Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor.

Former Premier League scout Mick Brown believes the French forward could be available this summer and sees Leeds as a possible destination.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown claimed Isidor may seek a move away from Sunderland due to his lack of regular involvement in the team.

Brown also suggested the striker fits the kind of recruitment strategy Leeds have followed recently — signing dependable players in key positions — though he questioned whether Isidor would truly elevate the side to another level.

According to Brown, Leeds ideally need a top-quality striker capable of transforming the attack rather than simply adding depth because of market availability.

However, Isidor may actually suit what Leeds require heading into next season.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has enjoyed a productive campaign at Elland Road, but the lack of a reliable alternative option has been noticeable.

Lukas Nmecha has contributed reasonably well when called upon, though there is still room for improvement in that role.

Meanwhile, Daniel Farke is reportedly unconvinced by Joel Piroe, meaning the Dutch striker could depart during the upcoming transfer window.

If that happens, Leeds will almost certainly need another centre-forward addition, and Isidor appears to match the profile the club has targeted recently.

The 25-year-old offers physical presence, can hold the ball up effectively and has shown he can score goals consistently.

He netted 12 times in the Championship last season and has added five Premier League goals during the current campaign, suggesting he could provide Leeds with a useful attacking option moving forward.
