Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has expressed uncertainty over the availability of Joe Willock and Kieran Trippier for the final two games of the season.

Both players are recovering from muscle injuries—Willock with a thigh issue and Trippier sidelined due to a calf problem.

With just a couple of matches remaining, Howe emphasized that the timeframe may not allow for their return.

Speaking on the matter, Howe remarked, “We don’t think they are serious injuries. But with such little time left in the season, it’s hard to say if they’ll be ready. We’d love to have them back, but I honestly don’t know if that’s possible.”

“We are slightly stretched, and we need to bring some players back. The summer transfer window is vital for us.

I’ve been open about the fact that we need to strengthen the squad further,” he concluded.
