Last summer, when Manchester United pursued Everton center-back Jarrad Branthwaite, their fans envisioned him scoring at the Stretford End this season.

However, they likely didn’t imagine it would happen while he remained in Everton’s royal blue jersey.

Before kick-off, protests from Manchester United supporters over rising ticket prices and limited concessions signaled growing frustration with Jim Ratcliffe’s management.
