“Rangers’ £20M Transfer Kitty SKYROCKETS After SHOCK Diomande Exit Bombshell – You Won’t Believe How Much They’re Sitting On Now!”

Rangers to Launch Summer Rebuild Following Takeover

The 49ers Enterprises group, spearheaded by Paraag Marathe and Andrew Cavenagh, officially completed their takeover of Rangers on Friday, 30 May.

The American consortium now plans to fund a major rebuild at Ibrox following a disappointing season.

Their efforts to reshape the squad could receive a financial boost from developments concerning Mohamed Diomande’s future, with fresh reports emerging from Glasgow.

Diomande’s Future Could Increase Transfer Budget

Rangers are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer window as they aim to mount a serious challenge against Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.

According to the print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail (2 June, page 71), Marathe and his group have committed £20 million to the club via newly-issued shares to support summer recruitment.

The report also notes that the transfer budget could be further bolstered through player sales—Diomande being a potential candidate, with Premier League side Everton expressing interest.

Rangers Could Cash In on Diomande

While retaining top talent will be a challenge for the new ownership, especially amid interest from wealthier leagues, selling players like Diomande at a profit may be a wise move.

If David Moyes and Everton come forward with a substantial offer, the 49ers may opt to sell and reinvest across multiple key areas of the squad.

The 23-year-old Ivorian enjoyed a decent season, recording four goals and seven assists in 36 league appearances.

However, considering his role as a number 10, there’s an argument that his end product should have been stronger.

A high-profile exit could not only enhance Rangers’ finances but also give them the resources needed to close the domestic gap with Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic.

That said, any major decision may be postponed until a new manager is appointed and has assessed the current squad.

Regardless of what unfolds in the transfer market, Rangers supporters can expect a busy and potentially transformative summer.

The 49ers Enterprises group has already demonstrated their ambition through their operations at Leeds United, offering real encouragement for what’s to come at Ibrox.
