According to an article published on 26 July, Everton are considering re-engaging Chelsea about a potential move for striker Armando Broja, who is also targeted by AC Milan and Brentford.
Broja, 22, is reportedly waiting until the second half of August to see if AC Milan will make an offer, while Brentford might also pursue him if Ivan Toney departs.
Everton are monitoring these developments as they plan their own potential bid for Broja.
Broja has been a consistent target for Everton this transfer window, indicating genuine interest from Goodison Park.
However, any move for Broja would likely hinge on Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s departure from the club. According to The Athletic on 16 July, Calvert-Lewin needs to be sold before bringing in a replacement.
Attempts to offload Calvert-Lewin have been hindered by a lack of interest from other clubs, despite several teams being linked to him. This suggests that his asking price may be too high.
Depending on how low Everton are willing to go, it might be more beneficial for Sean Dyche and the club to retain Calvert-Lewin and have him contribute on the field rather than banking the proceeds from a sale.
