Tottenham Will Be Excited by the £25m Valuation Recently Placed on Tyler Dibling

Tottenham Hotspur May Have the Chance to Sign Tyler Dibling at a Bargain Price This Summer, Says Former Club Scout

Tyler Dibling continues to impress with his performances for Southampton this season, even as the club’s campaign goes from bad to worse.

Reports recently emerged that Tottenham made a serious attempt to sign Dibling during the January transfer window but were deterred by Southampton’s £55 million asking price.

However, it has been suggested that Spurs remain determined to revisit their pursuit in the summer, and a new update indicates that a deal could be much easier to complete.

Former Scout Believes £25m Could Be Enough for Dibling

Mick Brown, a former Tottenham scout who remains well-connected in football, is confident that Ange Postecoglou’s side will push to sign Dibling this summer.

He suggested that if Southampton were relegated, they would have little power to prevent their academy graduate from leaving, potentially for a much lower fee than initially expected.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown stated, “Somebody will come along for Tyler Dibling at the end of the season.

I can’t see Southampton doing much about that if they’re relegated.”

He emphasized that Southampton would likely need to sell players to balance their finances, and Dibling would be an obvious candidate due to his high value and the widespread interest in him.

Brown estimated that an offer of around £25 million could be sufficient to secure a deal.

He further added, “I can see him making the move to Tottenham because they’re aiming to buy that sort of player.

They’ve got Wilson Odobert, Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Mikey Moore all coming into the team.”

Given Tottenham’s commitment to integrating young talent, Brown believes the club will view Dibling as another promising addition to their growing crop of emerging stars.

Why Tottenham Could Be in Pole Position to Sign Dibling

Several Premier League clubs would likely jump at the opportunity to sign Dibling at a reduced price if Southampton were relegated.

However, Tottenham may already have an edge in the race for his signature.

Recent reports indicate that Spurs have done significant groundwork on a potential deal and may have already established contact with Dibling’s representatives.

This proactive approach could put them ahead of other suitors.

Additionally, Dibling will have seen young talents like Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray, and Mikey Moore receive first-team opportunities under Postecoglou.

This could make Tottenham an attractive destination, as he might view the club as the ideal place to continue his development.

If Southampton fail to secure Premier League survival, a summer move for Dibling could become a straightforward process for Spurs, who are expected to be among the frontrunners for his signature.
