Reports from Mexican journalist Fabian Reyes suggest that Rangers have shown interest in the youngster, with the upcoming Under-20 World Cup expected to play a key role in shaping his future.
Reyes stated on X: “Amaury Morales has attracted the attention of Rangers in Scotland, who have been monitoring his recent displays.
The U20 World Cup will be a decisive stage for him, but so far, it has only been an approach.”
The tournament takes place in Chile from 27 September to 19 October, with Mexico drawn in a challenging group.
Should Morales impress on the international stage, it could fast-track a potential move to Ibrox.
The teenager already has six goal contributions in 11 matches for Mexico’s U20s and scored twice for Cruz Azul last season, showcasing his potential as an attacking threat.
