This collapse follows a reasonably strong summer in terms of signings, with players like Iliman Ndiaye and Jesper Lindstrom arriving to boost Sean Dyche’s squad.

However, any optimism has quickly faded at Goodison Park, with Everton once again facing the prospect of a relegation battle early in the season.

In need of further strengthening, reports indicate that Everton’s management is already focusing on the January transfer window, specifically eyeing Luton Town’s Elijah Adebayo in a deal that could cost between £15 million and £20 million.
