Ruud van Nistelrooy has stuck with an unchanged starting XI for Leicester City’s clash against Manchester United at the King Power Stadium.
True to his word, the Dutchman retains the 5-2-1-2 formation from the 1-0 loss to Chelsea, having been pleased with his team’s performance in that setup.
As a result, he has made no alterations to his starting lineup.
The only change comes on the bench, where Kasey McAteer replaces Ricardo Pereira, who is absent from the squad.
City’s defense remains unchanged, with Wout Faes, Conor Coady, and Luke Thomas forming the central trio, while James Justin and Victor Kristiansen operate as wing-backs.
In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare provide cover for the back five, with Bilal El Khannouss playing in the attacking midfield role.
Up front, Jamie Vardy and Patson Daka lead the line together for the fourth time in a City starting XI.
McAteer’s inclusion means Jannik Vestergaard, Oliver Skipp, and Odsonne Edouard miss out entirely.
