Newcastle’s Tino Livramento Linked with Potential Summer Exit
Tino Livramento has proven to be a brilliant signing for Newcastle United since his arrival from Southampton in the summer of 2023.
The Magpies paid around £32 million for the full-back, and he’s turned out to be a bargain. Capable of playing on either flank, the 22-year-old has been outstanding, quickly becoming a key player.
His performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and now Manchester City are reportedly showing interest. However, prising Livramento away from St James’ Park won’t be easy.
According to The Northern Echo, Newcastle have no intention of selling the England international.
Any approach from City is expected to be quickly rejected, as the club is determined to keep him on Tyneside.
Manager Eddie Howe and the recruitment team view Livramento as a central figure in Newcastle’s long-term plans.
It’s clear that City may need to shift their attention elsewhere, as Newcastle are standing firm.

Interestingly, Newcastle hadn’t originally planned to move for Livramento at that time.
However, Southampton’s relegation in 2023 prompted a swift change of strategy, and the club accelerated their interest to secure the talented defender while he was available.
That decision has paid off handsomely. Livramento delivered a superb performance in the Carabao Cup final, notably keeping Mohamed Salah quiet and contributing to Alexander Isak’s goal at Wembley.
Selling him now would make little sense. At just 22, he still has a long career ahead of him and is already emerging as one of the Premier League’s top full-backs.
Newcastle’s refusal to entertain City’s interest is reassuring. Livramento is clearly a key asset and looks set to play a significant role in the club’s future success.
