Everton

According to Fabrizio Romano, the player has communicated to his club his desire to join Everton.

Yankuba Minteh is reportedly leaning towards a summer move to Everton over Lyon, marking Goodison Park as his preferred destination, per Fabrizio Romano. Despite not yet making a senior appearance for Newcastle United, Minteh excelled on loan at Feyenoord last season, netting 10 goals in 27 Eredivisie outings.

While a transfer seems imminent, Minteh remains focused on breaking into the Premier League, opting to reject Lyon in favor of joining the Toffees. His potential arrival promises to offer Everton valuable new options in wide areas, particularly with Dominic Calvert-Lewin potentially moving to Newcastle, as reported by TEAMtalk.

Currently, Dwight McNeil stands as Everton’s sole natural wide player following loan spells for Jack Harrison and Arnaut Danjuma. Minteh’s addition could inject a fresh dynamic lacking in the Toffees’ attacking setup. Reports suggest Harrison might return to Everton, boosting their attacking choices significantly for the upcoming season (Fabrizio Romano).

Minteh’s readiness to join Everton despite the club’s recent financial challenges signifies a strong vote of confidence in the Blues. Now, the onus is on Everton to finalize the deal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Should Minteh complete his move to Goodison Park, it could potentially transform Sean Dyche’s side next season, given his prolific scoring record compared to several Everton players combined last season.
