Everton’s hunt for their first signing of the January transfer window continues, with several areas of the squad still in need of reinforcement ahead of Monday’s deadline.

According to Turkish outlet ASpor, Everton have now returned with an improved proposal for En-Nesyri.

The report claims the club has submitted a fresh loan offer that includes a £20 million option to buy at the end of the season.

Juventus are also believed to be monitoring the striker, with both clubs reportedly targeting similar profiles in the market.

While the financial structure of the deal may not be Everton’s biggest obstacle, other factors could prove more problematic.

Everton News columnist Alan Myers has suggested that En-Nesyri is settled in Turkey and may be reluctant to leave, with claims the striker prefers playing in a warmer climate.

While arrivals have been scarce this month, departures could still materialise before the window closes.

Beto has attracted interest from several European sides, with speculation growing around a possible return to Italy.

Speaking during his press conference on Friday, Moyes admitted late exits could be approved if the right circumstances arise.

“People might [leave], yes, but at the moment we’re not planning to – but they may well do,” he explained.

Interestingly, Fenerbahce are also among the clubs credited with an interest in Beto, adding another layer to Everton’s striker search.
