West Ham heavily backed Julen Lopetegui with major transfer funds in 2024 but replaced him with Graham Potter in January.

As reported by Football Insider (14 April), Potter is seeking strong support in the summer transfer window following a disappointing start to his tenure.

The Irons sit 17th in the Premier League after a heartbreaking 3-2 loss at Brighton, where they led 2-1 until the 89th minute.

West Ham could sanction the departures of several first-team players to fund a new recruitment drive and back Potter’s rebuild.

Football Insider (25 April) revealed the club is open to offers around £70million for Mohammed Kudus, with Liverpool among the interested parties.

Although Kudus has an £80million release clause for domestic transfers, insiders suggest West Ham would accept slightly less.

Additionally, sources claim the club will entertain bids between £10-15million for Tomas Soucek, amid interest from Leeds and Everton.

Loan players Carlos Soler and Evan Ferguson are set to return to their parent clubs, while Danny Ings, Michail Antonio, and Aaron Cresswell are all out of contract at the end of June.

Regarding Potter’s future, Football Insider (13 April) reported that West Ham are unlikely to sack him despite a disappointing run.

Since replacing Lopetegui, Potter has overseen just three wins in 15 matches.

Nevertheless, he remains under contract until June 2027, and the club plans to back him through a critical summer rebuild.
